Woman arrested after stabbing incident at Benicia home

A woman was arrested on attempted murder charges after a stabbing at a home in Benicia on Sunday.

Police said the incident happened around 9:45 p.m. at a home along the 300 block of Allen Way.

According to police, a 19-year-old woman texted an 18-year-old man to request that he pick her up at the home. When the man arrived, an argument ensued, and the man was allegedly stabbed multiple times in front of the home.

The man was taken to a hospital in Contra Costa County for treatment. His condition was not known as of Monday morning.

The suspect, who was not identified by name, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. She was booked into the Solano County Jail earlier this morning.
