Suspicious package prompts emergency alert for rural Dixon road
The Solano County Office of Emergency Services (OES) briefly issued a shelter-in-place for residents along Cook Lane east of Travis Air Force Base on Wednesday.
The public notification was posted around 6 p.m. to the Facebook page of Alert Solano, the county's emergency notification system.
An official with the Solano County OES urged residents on Cook Lane to stay in their homes with their doors and windows locked while they cleared a suspicious package.
A fire crew from the Montezuma Fire Protection District was called to the scene to help Solano County Sheriff's deputies clear the package.
The shelter-in-place was lifted around 7:15 p.m.
