Traffic Alert: Highway 113 closed at Cook Lane due to big rig crash

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has issued a SIG Alert for Highway 113 in both directions after a big rig flipped on the roadway Wednesday evening.

The crash was reported around 5:15 p.m. near Cook Lane. According to the CHP, a big rig traveling on Highway 113 crashed and overturned on the road, blocking both lanes of the highway.

A tow truck and a crew from CalTrans are headed to the scene to clear the crash. No one was injured, according to the CHP.

All lanes of Highway 113 were still blocked as of 6:30 p.m., and the CHP is unsure when the highway will re-open.

Motorists should use Brown Road, Salem Road and Hastings Road as a detour until the crash can be cleared.
