At least one shot after incident near Target store in Fairfield
At least one person was shot and injured during an incident near the Target store in Fairfield on Friday.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. along the 2000 block of Cadenasso Drive, according to information released by the Fairfield Police Department.
When officers arrived, they located a handgun in the parking lot of the store as well as an extended magazine and live ammunition.
Surveillance video showed two people conversing before gunfire erupts. The two left in separate vehicles, police said. One later walked into a hospital with gunshot-related injuries that were not life-threatening.
The agency said the incident appeared to be isolated and not connected to the Target store. Anyone with information about what happened is asked to contact the police department at 707-428-7600.
