One dead after structure fire in Dixon

One person was found dead at the scene of a structure fire in Dixon on Wednesday.

Solano NewsNet was the first to report on the one-alarm fire that broke out around 3:10 p.m. along the 5800 block of Thissell Road in rural Dixon.

Initial reports indicated the fire started inside a camping trailer on private property, then spread to several vehicles and a lumber pile.

A body was discovered during a primary search of the area. The cause of death was not known, and officials have released no information about the person’s identity or where they were located.

The cause of the fire was not known as of Wednesday evening. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact the Solano County Sheriff’s Office.

City officials said Dixon firefighters were assisted by firefighting resources from the City of Vacaville, the City of Winters, the Vacaville Fire Protection District and U.C. Davis.
