The California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) says a highway paving project will trigger one-way traffic control overnight on a stretch of road in Solano County.

The paving will occur on Highway 113 between rural Vacaville and Fairfield, according to a map provided to Solano NewsNet by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The map shows the project will begin at the intersection of Highway 113 and Highway 12, then proceed north through the intersection of Highway 113 north of Creed Road.

The paving project will start Thursday, August 4 evening and take place in the overnight hours between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Construction is expected to last until Friday, August 12. No work will be scheduled on the weekends.

One-way traffic control will be employed on Highway 113 while construction is underway, CalTrans says.

Motorists should prepare for possible delays on Highway 113 during the overnight hours when paving is scheduled to take place. Alternate routes are encouraged where possible.
