A 20-year-old man is presumed to have drowned in the water near Rio Vista on Wednesday.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. when police received a report that a man who jumped into the water from a dock at Sandy beach went under the water and did not resurface.
The Solano County Sheriff's Department, the Rio Vista Fire Department and the U.S. Coast Guard immediately deployed personnel to search for the man, but his body had not been recovered as of Wednesday evening.
The man's name was not immediately available. His family is cooperating with police while the investigation into the incident continues.
The incident is the latest involving people who either drowned or were presumed to have drowned in the water near Rio Vista this summer.
In early July, the bodies of three men were recovered from the water after they went missing during the rescue of a child around the Independence Day holiday.
Less than two weeks later, emergency officials were called to the water once again after a person jumped from a restricted area of the Rio Vista Bridge. That person remains missing.
