Suisun City dispensary robbed, employees confined

A marijuana dispensary was the target of a violent armed robbery late Sunday evening, Solano NewsNet has learned.

The robbery occurred at the Stiizy Cannabis Dispensary along 500 Railroad Avenue around 11 p.m.

Several individuals armed with guns, including automatic weapons, took an armed security guard hostage and confined him and several employees in a room while they looted the dispensary’s safe of cash, according to preliminary information learned by a Solano NewsNet reporter.

The suspects made off with an unspecified amount of cash, the security guard’s handgun as well as some of the store’s product. They were last seen driving an Acura sedan that returned to a city in Solano County. (Solano NewsNet is not naming the city because police are still investigating the matter.)

It was not clear if anyone was hurt in the incident.

The Stiizy dispensary in Suisun City opened in August 2021. It is the city’s first marijuana retail store.
