A Vacaville woman has been charged with multiple counts of arson in connection with several fires that broke out in Silicon Valley late last month.

The fires were all started on Saturday, July 30 in the Los Altos Hills area, according to law enforcement officials.

Police reviewed information that led them to arrest Paige Turnbull, 25, of Vacaville on several felony counts of arson. Turnbull was booked into the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas on $100,000 bail, according to records reviewed by Solano NewsNet. She was formally charged last Wednesday in connection with the alleged crimes, and her bail was later revoked.

Fire officials say the first blaze was reported around 1:15 p.m. in the area of Josefa Lane. A total of 10 fires were started in proximity to one another, though each burned at a relatively slow rate and were quickly contained by firefighters.

Still, an evacuation order was given for some homes in the area, displacing a handful of residents for about an hour.

The fires were considered under control by 2:30 p.m., according to information from the fire department.

Many of the fires were located around Foothill Community College, according to officials, though it was unclear if Turnbull had a connection to the school or the area.
