Two shot at Vacaville apartment complex

One person was killed and another critically injured after a shooting at an apartment complex in Vacaville on Friday.

The shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. at an apartment unit along the 500 block of Markham Avenue southwest of Trower Park.

Two people with various gunshot-related injuries were taken to a local hospital. One of the victims later died from their wounds; the other remains in critical condition.

Police canvassed the area for several hours attempting to locate one or more suspects, but no one was in custody as of Saturday morning.
