Firefighter hurt battling barn fire in rural Vacaville

One firefighter was hurt at the scene of a structure fire in rural Vacaville early Monday morning.

The fire started around 9:45 a.m. along the 5600 block of Weber Road.

According to information learned by Solano NewsNet, the fire ignited in a barn on a property, then spread to nearby vegetation, charring at least one acre of dry grass.

Forward progress on the vegetation fire was stopped just after 10:30 a.m. The barn was completely destroyed. 

An ambulance was requested to the scene just before 10:30 a.m. after a firefighter experienced an unknown injury.

Traffic is not affected in the area of the fire, and there were no road closures as of 10:30 a.m.
