Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a plane crashed at the Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville on Wednesday.
The crash happened around 11 a.m., according to flight information reviewed by Solano NewsNet.
The Solano County Sheriff's Office said they were dispatched to the scene within a half-hour of the crash, and the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
The plane involved is a Cessna 150 that is based at Sacramento's McClellan Airport, according to information obtained by Solano NewsNet. The plane left from an airport in Willows earlier this morning and appeared to be destined for the Nut Tree Airport.
The body of the plane came to rest on the west side of the airport about a quarter-mile from Browns Valley Parkway.
Two people on board the plane were able to extract themselves from the plane. They received medical attention from a local fire crew and went to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The wreckage of the plane was still at the airport as of Wednesday afternoon. The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
