Solano congressman tests positive for COVID-19

Representative Mike Thompson tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating from home, his office confirmed in a statement on Wednesday.

The Congressman said he is experiencing mild symptoms, which he attributed to being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 symptoms.

Thompson’s office remains open for business and to serve constituents. He is working from home in the meantime.

“As COVID-19 continues to evolve, I recommend every American to get their updated COVID-19 vaccine and booster to stay healthy and protect their friends and families,” Thompson said in a statement.

Thompson represents California’s 5th Congressional District, which includes Vallejo and Benicia. Starting next year, he will represent California’s 4th Congressional District, which will include Vacaville and Dixon.
